Working in Partnership

We have collaborated with a large number of other organisations to produce a variety of outputs such as exhibitions and online learning resources.  We also continue add to our collection through the donation of oral histories and archive material.  Some previous examples of projects that we have worked on include:

Photofusion UK Black Panther movement 2013

As part of this project we provided a research workshop, and access to our archive collection for an exhibition.  We received in copies of the oral history recordings, videos and the administration papers of the project.

Zimbabwe Association 12 year project  2014

As part of our collaboration we provided oral history guidance, access to learning resource templates to create a learning resource, a venue space for a pop up exhibition and event and also received in the associations papers into the collection.

Paddington Arts – Elimu Carnival band  2014

As part of our collaboration we provided access to learning resource templates, oral history guidance, venue for a month exhibition space and received in the oral history recordings produced.

The other Georgians 2015

As part of this learning project we collaborated with the Brixton Learning Collective Windmill Cluster to deliver school sessions  We explored the range of experiences of people of African descent starting life in Britain – those who were brought here, travelled here, and were born here.  This was delivered whilst the Black Georgians exhibition was open.

Black Dance Archives 2016

As part of the Heritage Lottery Funded Black Dance Archives project we were gifted ten dance collections. This was in partnership with National Resource Centre for Dance, University of Leeds, and State of Emergency. Please be aware that we are already working on a range of exciting projects  for 2017/2018 and are no longer accepting any new submissions for this period.  We are open to new projects and partnership for 2019 onwards.
